Ittle Dew has been sitting on my Steam wishlist for months. I've been fascinated by its art style and old-school gameplay from all the different trailers and reviews, yet I still haven't managed to grab a copy due to a busy schedule and embarrassingly long back-log of older titles. To my surprise, the sequel is already in the works, and has officially been announced by the talented folks at Nicalis.
Ittle Dew 2 will launch on both PC and console platforms this summer, although no specific dates have been given at this time. The sequel promises to bring back the original's charm and humor, but the presentation is taking an entirely different direction. Instead of the classic 2D Zelda style, the sequel will feature 3D environments that offer more exploration and secrets than its predecessor. Improved animations and gameplay elements hint at a more refined experience, and the in-game dungeons will be accessible in any order.
Stay tuned for further details.
