There are countless solutions for managing your digital entertainment library these days. However, arguably the most reliable option is Plex TV. If you’re not familiar with Plex, it's a service that lets users setup a server for hosting movies, TV shows, music, photos, and then have that content streamed to your cellphone, computer, tablet or even your Smart TV. The setup process consists of just a few clicks to tell the software where your media is stored.
Plex has been hard at work lately and has released updates for a number of devices. Probably the most radically updated is their app for iOS. With a completely redesigned app, Plex for iOS simplifies library navigation and brings with it streamlined and updated media player. Roku device users now get the app for free, and the universal, PS4/Smart TV, app has been updated with an updated UI and the addition of Plex Channels on the big screen. All these updates aren’t all though. Plex has released a universal app for Windows 8.1, as well as make Plex for Xbox 360 free; while still adding photos to the Xbox One app.
If you have been looking for a way to manage all the media in your digital life, then Plex is something that everyone should at least try. And if you’re already a Plex user, be sure to update your Plex server and apps now, to take advantage of all the new features. You can get more information at there site, Plex TV, and make sure to check out our recent review of the service.
